About
Women’s Rights are the foundation of Human Rights. Cultures that repress women are almost uniformly impoverished, non-democratic and subject to disease, famine and war.
The most effective way to repress women is to withhold education. The UN estimates that by 2015, over 215 million girls, worldwide, will be illiterate.
As young girls are marginalized or sold as slaves and prostitutes, the avenue to peace is obliterated for it is women who prize education and peace. It is they who when empowered, inculcate those goals in their own children and who, when repressed, simply bear children and die young. In many countries, women are subjugated to second place status. Whether it’s cultures in which men have the right to multiple wives, those in which women are stoned to death if accused of adultery or others where they’re not allowed to vote, the place to start redressing this is through the legal system and enforcement of law.
GOAL: The Power of Peace intends to publish a “Men’s Bill of Rights”. We will ask those countries we identify, to vote on this bill of rights which finally, will make men and women equal.
The Power of Peace Bill of Rights will give men the right to be stoned to death for adutlry. The bill of rights will place men on equal voting status with the women in their country. We will propose that men, like women, get paid less for doing the same job, get promoted less often and rise to fewer jobs in management. In certain countries, we‘ll propose that men not be allowed to drive alone, walk the streets alone and that they should be required to cover their hair and faces by wearing a Burkha. The Men's Bill of Rights will be submitted to the United Nations.
