China must clean up their environment by implementing powerful, enforceable, manufacturing legislation and guidelines.

Even China’s recent economic downturn hasn’t changed the facts on the ground and in the air. China is the world's number ONE polluter. As a result of the air pollution there, more than 300,000 people die prematurely. And every 30 seconds a child is born with birth defects.

Emissions of sulfur oxides in China are the highest in the world. China's pollutants are now a measurable part of California's daily pollution with China's brown pollution plume visible from space. Against this backdrop, China is still planning to build over 500 additional coal-fired power plants before 2020.

China’s assault on your health extends to the export of countless contaminated products and food to millions around the globe. For your own safety and the safety of your children, China’s headlong destruction of the world’s environment must stop. Can we make China listen? Yes we can.

First, we need to classify China’s rape of the world’s environment and its assault on its own people through disease, violence and repression, as a Global Human Rights Crime.

Second we must take control of China’s economy and we can. If enough people around the world agree to take $1000 they would normally spend on Chinese goods and instead, spend them on products made in their own country we can bypass politics and multinationals and have a controlling impact on China’s GDP. Long story short, control China’s GDP and we  control the outcome of China’s threat to the world.

   1. Force China to clean up their environment by implementing powerful and enforceable manufacturing legislation and guidelines.
   2. Classify China’s rape of the environment as a Global Human Rights Crime. Because it generates so much pollution of so many forms China is consciously poisoning not only its own citizens but those all over the world.

   ACTIONS:

   1. Join our email campaign by signing:
      • Letters to the President, your Senators and congresspersons to enforce stronger manufacturing guidelines in China.
      • Letters to your favorite brands that manufacture in China demanding that walk the walk and take the lead by implementing stringent manufacturing guidelines. The US and other first world countries have simply exported our own pollution to China harming the very people that are building their products.
      • Letters to congress demanding they pass laws providing mandatory Country of Origin labeling on all goods sold on the internet and in mail order catalogs. Then you and other consumers can fairly decide where you’re spending your money.
   2. Buy products that are Not Made in China. Take $1000 this year that you would normally spend on goods Made in China and spend this money in your own country. By doing this, we will impact the Chinese government in the one place that matters the most - their pockets. We can outflank our politicians, countries and multinationals who routinely flood the media with an illusion of change while they continue with “business as usual.”  Add  to our NMIC list of manufacturers who provide honest products manufactured to internationally recognized fair standards by sending us their names and adding them to your own profile page.
   3. Join us to have China’s rape of the global environment and it’s attacks on its own people classified as a Human Rights Crime. Send $1 to China’s president, Hu Jintao and tell him to give the money directly to the thousands of deformed Chinese who will be born there in the next two months.
