We need  to make human rights abuse so costly to the perpetrators that it ceases to be a viable act of repression for governments around the world. In 2010, Power of Peace is organizing a “Break the Chain” action conference. We will join with 25 international Human Rights victims in New York City for three days of visibility, organization building and decisive action. You’ll meet and work with the people who have suffered Human Rights abuse. Together we will identify and call out the real players of repression and Human Rights brutality, understand their weaknesses and exploit them with decisive actions such as globally organized, economic boycotts.

GOAL: To bring 25 Human Rights victims to the first POP Human Rights Conference

ACTION: Create your own POP page or if you're already a member, join the "Break the Chain" Group then:

1. Sponsor the airfare for a Human Rights Victim by donating miles or buying a ticket

2. Sponsor hotel accommodation for a Human Rights Victim

3. Volunteer to work at the conference

PLEASE NOTE: THE POWER OF PEACE IS WAITNG FOR OUR OWN 501-C3 (NON-PROFIT) STATUS. UNTIL THEN WE ARE PROUD TO WORK WITH LA LUTTA AS OUR FISCAL SPONSOR FOR ALL NON-PROFIT RELATED ACTIVITIES.

ALL DONATIONS AND NOT-FOR-PROFIT PRODUCTS THAT ARE PURCHASED ON POWER OF PEACE WILL PROVIDE FULL TAX BENEFITS TO YOU. LA LUTTA TAKES 5% OF ALL DONATIONS AND FUNDS TO HELP WITH OPERATIONAL COSTS. 95% OF THE FUNDS GO DIRECTLY TO THE CAUSE.
