THIS FAIR TRADE PRODUCT IS CRAFTED BY A SMALL CO-OP OF WOMEN IN KATHMANDU

A unique social enterprise set up initially to support Himalayan women find employment. This small scale supplier is owned by a woman and most of her employees are women. The co-op was established to support Himalayan women who generally would have no way to generate income. They are very committed to protecting the fragile Himalayan Mountain ecosystem and ensure that good management practices are adhered to with regards to the harvesting of herbs. Combined Ayurveda, Tibetan Healing and Himalayan Herbs as well as anthropological knowledge of the area is put into the design of the products.
