BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD
- Mahatma Ghandi

Newton's First Law of Physics states that an object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion.

Our goal is to stay in motion and that only happens with and because of you. The use of Child Soldiers is illegal, but worse, it's a form of murder. When adults steal children they steal their future, their dreams and replace them with drugs, violence and death. Where can a child go from there?

There's a different army here at POP, one that does good work, personal work.
Is there a greater crime? Our job is to name and shame, to push and shove our way to the front of the line. To be heard, to be seen to make the change we want to see.

To make the change you want to see the change we want to see.
Join us and pass it on.
Get in motion. Do good work, personal work. Pass it on. Tell others to do the same. It's the beginnings of the Power of Peace.

Share your stories on your My Power of Peace page or email us at info@thepowerofpeace.com and we will tell your story.

A UGANDAN CHILD SPEAKS
"One boy tried to escape but he was caught. His hands were tied and then they made us, the other new captives, kill him with a stick. I felt sick. I knew this boy from before; we were from the same village. I refused to do it and they told me they would shoot me. They pointed a gun at me, so I had to do it... I see him in my dreams and he is saying I killed him for nothing, and I am crying."

ACCORDING TO HUMAN RIGHTS WATCH
without a childhood and often subjected to horrific violence, an estimated 200,000 to 300,000 children are serving as soldiers for both rebel groups and government forces in current armed conflicts
