9.11.01 - My Motivation for Peace

On 9.11.01, I watched the first plane hit the North Tower of the World Trade Center and saw unspeakable horrors in the ensuing destruction as well as the six weeks I spent volunteering at Ground Zero. Today I remember and strive for a better world for us and our children.

I created this video soon after 9.11 as I felt a responsibility to never forget - http://www.powerofpeace.com/9.11. This day also stands as a driving part of my motivation to create the Power of Peace. I wanted to build something that stood in stark contrast to the devastation I witnessed.

I believe peace is a right not a privilege. I believe that peace is a mosaic of intertwined victories for basic human rights; of understanding and acceptance of cultural diversity; and a shared global belief that as individuals we are responsible for the world.
